Position:  Small Business Downtown Manager

BRIEF JOB OVERVIEW:

The purpose of this position is to recruit, expand and retain small businesses within Holly Springs, with a special focus on creating a vibrant downtown area. This position builds, grows, and maintains relationships with the small business and downtown business community to understand their needs and meet their needs as best as possible within the confines of local government. Position must know the assets of the community to market it to businesses, share information, and show why it is a great place to do business. Position advocates for the needs of small businesses in all scenarios. Will be cross trained for medium to large businesses as well for department depth and knowledge. The Small Business/Downtown Manager will work closely with the Economic Development Director and Manager to develop and implement sustainable economic development strategies that value diversity in all its forms. All functions will support the goals and objectives of the department to effectively promote the value and mission of the organization. Work schedule is business hours with occasional evenings and weekends.
