Small Business & Downtown Manager

The Town of Holly Springs is seeking a Small Business & Downtown Manager in the Economic Development department. The purpose of this position is to recruit, expand and retain small businesses within Holly Springs using economic development practices, with a special focus on creating a vibrant downtown. This position builds, grows, and maintains strategic relationships with the small business and downtown business community to understand their needs and meet their needs as best as possible within the confines of local government. Position must learn the assets of the community to market it to businesses, share information, and show why it is a great place to do business. Position advocates for the needs of small businesses in all scenarios. Will be cross trained for other aspects of economic development including medium and large business recruitment, BRE strategies, RFI project responses as well for department depth and knowledge.

The Small Business Downtown Manager will work closely with the Economic Development Director and Economic Development Project Manager to develop and implement sustainable economic development strategies that value diversity in all its forms. All functions will support the goals and objectives of the department to effectively promote the value and mission of the organization.
