BRIEF JOB OVERVIEW:

The Economic Development Specialist position is responsible for understanding and promoting all activities and programs in the Economic Development Division and supporting Division initiatives and projects while utilizing positive, collaborative, and effective working relationships. This position will perform professional and administrative functions in the coordination and management of economic development policies, procedures, and programs; support the implementation of projects and initiatives related to Economic and Workforce Development; and support the Economic Development Division in accomplishing the City of Asheville’s economic and workforce development objectives. The Economic Development Specialist requires only general direction while handling complex projects and activities.

The Economic Development Specialist reports to the Economic Development Division Manager.
