Start, locate or expand a business in North Carolina with information and assistance from these organizations. Most offer services free of charge.

North Carolina Biotechnology Center is a private, non-profit corporation supported by the N.C. General Assembly. Its mission is to provide long-term economic and societal benefits to North Carolina by supporting biotechnology research, business and education statewide.

North Carolina Department of Commerce is the lead state agency for economic, community and workforce development. It offers comprehensive site location services and works with existing businesses and industries to support their growth.

North Carolina Site Search is a comprehensive database of available buildings and sites in the state with information on sites certified by the state as "shovel ready."

NC Statistical Information offers links to comprehensive business, economic and statistical data on North Carolina .

NC Regional Partnerships provide coordinated economic development marketing, research and other programs for the counties in their regions.

North Carolina Community College System offers job training for new and expanding industries through a network of campuses statewide.

North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center provides data, advocacy and programs to support economic and business development in North Carolina's 85 rural counties.

North Carolina Small Business and Technology Development Center provides management counseling and educational services to small and mid-sized businesses and entrepreneurs throughout North Carolina from 17 offices across the state, each affiliated with a campus of the University of North Carolina system.

Small Business Center Network, operated by North Carolina Community College System, provides training, counseling and resources to new and existing businesses through 58 Small Business Centers throughout North Carolina.
